Today, Highover's class 4 went on a habitat walk around our school. Children found 40 some more than 50 habitats around our school. My question to you is why did you put the habitats on your list in your list? What do you think might live in the habitat you listed? Why do you think that animal or plant would 'habit' there?
i saw a tree i think birds would live there because they like the cold but not the damp so they get under the branches for cover.

ReplyDeleteon the habit walk i saw the schools grit bin and i think i would find earwigs and spiders because spiders dont like damp places and earwigs to keep them warm .

I think worms would live in the mud because they like the damp and like going under the ground

ReplyDeleteOn the walk around the school I found some nests in the trees.I think the birds habitat in the nest because they can protect their eggs from predators.

you would find woodlise in logs because when it rains the woodlise like damp places.

ReplyDeleteI think in the hole where class 4 line up for break there would be spiders and ants because for spiders when the flies fly in the hole the spiders web would catch them just like the ants but they wont use a web they will work as team to get any insect that comes in.
ReplyDeleteI think tress are a habitat. I would find nests in trees. A tree is a bird's habitat. A bird lives in a tree because they need somewhere to build a nest and lay their eggs. You might also find bugs and squirrels and lots more.

ReplyDeleteI think holes are a habitat. Holes in trees might belong to squirrels or owls. Holes in the ground might belong to moles or rabbits.
ReplyDeleteI think a pond is a habitat. Fish, leeches, frogs, tadpoles, newts and many more animals live there. Animals use ponds to breath, drink, lay eggs and there are many more reasons.
