What a random conversation!

This morning, class 4 started a conversation sharing facts about dinosaurs. This continued to a linked conversation about human beings and how we developed by dinosaurs couldn't. This carried on to how to catch NCs and JBs, cook them, eat them and then develop a community where human beings start working together to create family helping each other! Like us in class 4! We then spoke about adding 1 + 1 and how knowing that means we know what 10 + 10 is, then we know what doubling is, and then multiplication and then ALGEBRA! What a random conversation. "What is intelligence?"

...and this really got us thinking. We tried to put it in a sentence, but as you can imagine, everyone's sentence was different. Have this conversation with other people, what do they say and think? Do you agree or disagree with them? Will this make you change your mind or develop what you think intelligence is?

This week in Maths, class 4 have been learning about the main features of common 3 dimensional shapes. What are the 3 dimensions of a three dimensional shape? If a face is a feature of a 3D shape what are the others? What 3D shapes do you remember learning about this week? Which 3D shape could have cast this shadow in the photo above?
